Case Study

This project in Point Clear went beyond a standard roof restoration, combining essential structural improvements with a complete roof refurbishment. Before the restoration could begin, the existing roof was stripped back and re-felted using a new Tyvek breathable membrane and Marley treated battens, providing a modern, durable foundation for the roof. The original tiles were then carefully reinstated, with around a third replaced where breakages had occurred.

With the roof structure renewed, the final stage was to restore the tiles using the Renotec / Properla system. This not only transformed the appearance of the roof with a clean, consistent finish but also helps to insulate the roof tiles, adding long-term protection and performance. The completed project demonstrates how a comprehensive restoration can preserve the character of an existing roof while upgrading it to modern standards, giving the homeowners the best of both worlds.
